The London Townhouse of Matthew and Claudia Donaldson

Matthew and Claudia Donaldson bought their London townhouse five years ago. He is an acclaimed photographer for magazines and luxury brands, such as Loewe and Smythson. She is a newspaper and magazine editor. Together they completely renovated the townhouse leaving only the original clawfoot bathtub intact, which is small in scale and impractical as they each stand over six feet tall. The home is also filled with treasures found during their travels. For example, take the Murano glass pendant light fixtures they saw in a tablecloth maker’s shop in Italy. Claudia convinced her husband to carry them home. “I drive him nuts,” she says. “Whenever we travel, there is always something that gets made” (or bought).
