Tiffany & Company has become an instantly recognized brand known for their luxury goods. Tiffany’s legendary jewelry and signature gift wrap has achieved icon status, which many have tried (unsuccessfully) to replicate.
What is it about those little blue boxes with the meticulously tied double faced white satin bows that has captivated so many?
While there is no doubt that many received their own gift of Tiffany last weekend during Valentine’s Day, I wonder if they know what goes into the making of their lovely gifts? Producer Matthew Miele has produced the documentary movie Crazy About Tiffany’s that was released yesterday and available On Demand. This is one film on my watch list since I am always intrigued with the design process just as much, if not more, as a product itself. What goes on behind the scenes is always fascinating to me. And while the Hollywood Report mentions that “Those enthralled by the venerable brand will no doubt swoon, but casual viewers will find it little more than a feature-length infomercial” I still prefer to make that judgement call myself. If you happen to see the movie, be sure to let me know what you think.
