I have been a longtime supporter of small business. Whether it is a brick and mortar location or a shop with an on-line presence only, I think it is important to support and celebrate those with an entrepreneurial spirit. One of the small shops I absolutely adore is the lovely Studio Carta, a fine stationary and ribbon shop located in Brookline, Massachusetts, an affluent suburb of Boston. If you can’t make it to the shop there is no need to fret….you can always order online.

While wrapping my Christmas gifts this year I realized that I am running low on wrapping supplies, particularly ribbon. Naturally, Studio Carta came to mind when it came time to replenish my supplies. I’ve already placed my order for several rolls of their cotton ribbon in a variety of colors. I just received my shipping notice and I am thrilled to know my order is on its way! I always like to have an arsenal of great wrapping supplies on hand throughout the year since you never know when you’ll need to wrap a last minute gift. There is nothing worse than not having something when you need it.

Ribbon is available in a rainbow of beautiful colors.

This particular style is a great staple to always keep on hand. It can be handy for almost any gift wrap project.

A few spools of metallic ribbon can make an artful display in your studio or craft room while waiting to be used on your next project.

Given that I am a self-professed Italiophile, I love the fact that the owner sources many of her products from Italy. Not surprising since the owner, Angela Liguori, is originally from Rome. I am particularly fond of the red handled scissors sourced from Italy and sold separately in three sizes. They are also available as part of one of the several gift boxes offered.
