Sleep, drink water and treat your skin.    –Georgia Louise

spa day via reviving charm

The one thing I am really looking forward this weekend is spending Sunday morning at the spa. I have a facial and a massage scheduled. I also plan on taking advantage of the other amenities the spa has to offer such as the steam shower and sauna. I look forward to knowing that when I leave I will feel relaxed and rejuvenated. I’m pretty sure I will sleep like a baby that night! It’s important to take time to treat yourself, but truth be told, sometimes it’s just hard to get away and I’ve often resorted to treating myself to an impromptu spa day at home. I am a beauty product junkie and have tried a myriad of products in every price range. Here is a short list of a few of my go-to products, many which may be familiar favorites. If you have a question about any of these, feel free to email me.

It’s funny how a blog post can turn out much different than originally planned. When I originally started drafting this post I had no idea that something called “Global Wellness Day” even existed. In fact, it falls on Sunday, June 11, which is the same day I will be heading to the spa. Coincidence? I think not. According to the Global Wellness Day website, the main aims of the day are:

  • To recognize the value of our lives.
  • To pause and think, even if for just one day of the year.
  • To be free from the stress of everyday city life and bad habits.
  • To make peace with ourselves.
  • To raise awareness about living well and increase motivation, not just for today, but for the remaining 364 days of the year.

Whatever you have planned for this weekend, use Global Wellness Day as an excuse to carve out some time to do something special for yourself, even if it is just for a few minutes.  After all…you deserve it! Happy Friday, Happy Weekend.    –xoxo, V.

I like the idea of a spa day, whether it’s from home or in a swanky spa!? No spa day in my weekend plans, but I will schedule one very soon.
    Enjoy your weekend.

I find that the hardest thing about being a busy woman is to take time for myself. A friend always reminds me (because she knows I need reminding) to “take care of me.” It’s good advice. Now, I need to go use the 2 spa gift certificates I have sitting in my drawer!
