NOTHING LIKE OLD HOLLYWOOD TO INSPIRE THE RED CARPET WEEKEND

I hate to admit that I haven’t seen any of the Oscar nominated movies so I can’t offer up any “Oscar Picks”. However, that won’t stop me from watching the Academy Awards, and of course the pre-award show, because I am usually most fascinated with the fashion on the red carpet. In honor of the 88th annual Academy Awards tomorrow night, I thought providing a quick look back at years gone by would be kind of fun. Here’s a retrospective of the prestigious award show featuring just a select few of Hollywood’s most legendary stars and old Hollywood glamour. Sometimes less is more…I am surprised how little jewelry was worn in the early years of the award show. Lesson learned: Classic and chic never goes out of style.
