I am so happy that the weather is changing here in Southern California and it’s finally starting to feel like Fall. I’ve been able to break out the coats this week and I look forward to layering and wearing thick, warm scarves. I’m heading out to San Francisco with Mr. B this weekend so I’ll definitely be needing the warmer clothing. While in San Francisco we plan to use some of our time to go shopping. I’m really lucky that I have a husband who loves to shop as much as I do, although that can be a dangerous thing! I am hoping to find a few new things to update my Fall and Winter wardrobe but we’ll also be shopping for Christmas gifts. As the saying goes, “One for you…two for me…”. I say it every year, and I’ll say it again…Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I savor every moment of it. Happy Fall!
We’re been back in Milan which turns out to be the last leg of our Italian journey. It’s sad to think that our long overdue two week trip is winding down. We’re not even home yet and we’re already talking about our next visit. Today is actually our last day before catching a Lufthansa flight home to California. We’ve had no real plans for today other than to spend it wandering the city taking in the sights and sounds. We’ve stumbled upon some great new shops, restaurants, and sites. I’m doing some last minute shopping and making sure I even get to enjoy a farewell gelato. When I’m back home I plan to prepare a recap post of our trip. However, please be patient for it since I’ve taken close to 5,000 pictures (so far) that I’ll need to sort through first. For today, enjoy a couple of scenes I’ve captured around Milan that celebrate the Fall season. Ciao…
I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house. So I have spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air. –Nathaniel Hawthorne
During this time last year, Mr. B and I we were on vacation along the East coast. Our rented SUV took us through upstate New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. I was going through my photos recently and came across this picture I took while on that trip visiting Cape Cod. We were in Chatham, Massachusetts to be exact. I stood in front of this church taking what seemed to be a dozen pictures. It is the quintessential New England fall photo and it is one of my favorites from that trip. It seems most appropriate for this weekend’s post so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Have a great last weekend of October!
