Savoring Fall

I am so happy that the weather is changing here in Southern California and it’s finally starting to feel like Fall. I’ve been able to break out the coats this week and I look forward to layering and wearing thick, warm scarves. I’m heading out to San Francisco with Mr. B this weekend so I’ll definitely be needing the warmer clothing. While in San Francisco we plan to use some of our time to go shopping. I’m really lucky that I have a husband who loves to shop as much as I do, although that can be a dangerous thing! I am hoping to find a few new things to update my Fall and Winter wardrobe but we’ll also be shopping for Christmas gifts. As the saying goes, “One for you…two for me…”.  I say it every year, and I’ll say it again…Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I savor every moment of it. Happy Fall! fall tablescape thanksgiving_reviving charmthanksgiving menufall leaves_Reviving Charmfall branches decor_reviving charmsilverware with ribbon tablescapefall landscape_reviving charmgrateful quotes inspiration_reviving charmsilverware 1apple tart_reviving charmDecorative holiday wreath made of feathers and pine needles.fall door_reviving charmfall colors centerpiece_reviving charmclassic cars_Reviving Charmfall vignette_reviving charm

It’s October.

We’re been back in Milan which turns out to be the last leg of our Italian journey. It’s sad to think that our long overdue two week trip is winding down. We’re not even home yet and we’re already talking about our next visit. Today is actually our last day before catching a Lufthansa flight home to California. We’ve had no real plans for today other than to spend it wandering the city taking in the sights and sounds. We’ve stumbled upon some great new shops, restaurants, and sites. I’m doing some last minute shopping and making sure I even get to enjoy a farewell gelato. When I’m back home I plan to prepare a recap post of our trip. However, please be patient for it since I’ve taken close to 5,000 pictures (so far) that I’ll need to sort through first. For today, enjoy a couple of scenes I’ve captured around Milan that celebrate the Fall season. Ciao…

I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house. So I have spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air. –Nathaniel Hawthorne

HAPPY NOVEMBER

When I was younger I remember people telling me how time flies as you get older. They were right. This morning someone wished me “Happy November”. In that instant I shuttered at the thought that the year has flown by. Where has the time gone? Boy…I hope that doesn’t make me sound old!

It is finally starting to feel like Fall here in Southern California now that the temperatures are starting to cool off. And with Halloween now behind us, Thanksgiving will soon be here. I typically don’t decorate for Fall or Thanksgiving, which is a surprise given that it is my favorite time of the year, but I fell head over heels for this simple vignette found on the Southern Living website. I might just need to change my ways and go shopping for some Fall decorations. Do you decorate for Fall? Do you go all out or just add a simple decoration or two?

Fall Inspiration

Today is officially the first day of Fall.  We don’t experience true seasons here in California so this roundup of Fall inspiration is definitely getting me excited for an upcoming trip to Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  Be sure to follow me on Instagram to tag along with Mr. B and I on our fun filled, Fall adventures! I can hardly wait…
